Laying Down Lacrosse Stick and Picking Up Penn State

Would you believe that one of college football's premier running backs - Evan Royster of Penn State University - was formerly one of the most coveted lacrosse athletes in the country?
 

On the collegiate level, Evan Royster had made a name for himself as the running back for Joe Paterno and the Penn State Nittany Lions.

Royster is already been mentioned as an all-american candidate in 2008.

Rewind back to 2006, and you will find Royster was a lacrosse all-american in high school coveted by such programs as Virginia and John Hopkins.

Now, as Royster continues his football player career, many look back to those days in remarking on the potential of what could have been.
