It’s a Tri-State Thing, Tri-It.
Lacrosse is oldest sport in North America with its origins dating back to the early 15th century. Today’s game - utilizing hard rubber balls, titanium sticks and mesh-woven heads - is a major overhaul from the days of deerskin ball, wooden carving stick and leather & catgut heads. Baggataway was created by Native Americans where tribal games consisted of hundreds, or even thousands, of players. They played on a field of natural boundaries where the goals ranged from 500 yards to several miles apart and the contest could last for two to three days. Used primarily as a religious quest for young warriors to prepare for war, lacrosse is still producing and bringing out the warriors.

Syracuse Earns Record Setting 10th National Title
The Syracuse Orange validated their claim as the elite lacrosse program in the country, capturing their record-setting 10th national title with a 13-10 victory over defending champion John Hopkins in front of a record crowd of 48,970 at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA. The Orange becomes the second team to win the title after missing the playoffs the previous season. It matches the accomplishment of the 1983 Syracuse national championship team that attained the first NCAA crown for the Orange.
